And lastly, I recently found out that the track "Saturdays" which I co-wrote and co-produced with Jeremy Borer was featured on MTV's "Rehab with Dr Drew." More exciting news to come in the next month!

7/11/11 - I'm working on an album with DC based Emma Disimino. After a few weeks of pre-production via skype, we spent yesterday recording drums. As always, thanks to Chris Carey for some awesome beats!! Emma will be back up here in August to lay down the vocals and in the meantime, I will be laying down the instrumental parts.
In other news, I have tracks from Nate Solomon's most recent live show and will be mixing them to be released with the studio tracks we've done.

1/23/11 - I started producing music in Saratoga about a year ago. The site is finally up and things are going well! Check out the "Noise With Others" section to see some of the artists I've worked with. I will be adding my solo music to the "Noise Solo" page shortly.
Currently I have two outstanding artists in the studio. One, a very talented 18 year old singer/songwriter named Maya Kurchner has a sound very similar to Taylor Swift. The album is turning out great and should be done in the next month or so. The other is Nate Solomon , an amazing vocalist and songwriter who sounds like he belongs in Seattle in the 90's. Just a few more guitar tracks and we are done! I will be streaming the albums on my site when they are finished, so check back regularly for updates.

Coming from a family of full time musicians, it isn't by chance that JBrown has always felt the need to make music his life. His background includes 12 years of classical training on violin, 17 years on bass guitar playing and recording jazz and rock, a life time of singing, including both college and professional a cappella groups, 8 years of full time writing and touring as a member of signed rock band FIXER, and countless hours spent in the studio writing, working with, and most importantly learning from producers such as Brian Howes (Hinder, Daughtry, David Cook), Jeff Tomei (Matchbox Twenty, Smashing Pumpkins), Jason Corsaro (Duran Duran, Madonna), and Gary Tole (Bon Jovi, Billy Joel).
JBrown left NYC and a chaotic life on the road and set up shop in Saratoga Springs in late '09. With his extensive background, JBrown has an understanding of instrumental arrangements, vocal harmonies, and drum patterns that are guaranteed to compliment each other, bringing out the full potential of every song. He does not hit record and sit back, but works with the artist on every part of the song, making sure that transitions make sense, that the melodies are strong, that the instrumental parts support the melodies, and that the harmonies create texture and atmosphere.
JBrown's production credits include three songs that were featured on MTV's The Hills - "Mixing In With My Blood", written and produced with FIXER, and "Can I Go Home" and "All I Need", written and produced with Jeremy Borer of Before Balance. In addition, two songs from FIXER's "Before The Sun" album were featured in the award winning independent film "One Night" by Michael Knowles and 7A Productions.
